About Amira Vasileva
Amira Vasileva moved to Brooklyn, NY, in 2016 from Russia with little-to-no knowledge of English. It was very challenging. Born in Voronezh, Russia, and growing up in Moscow, you don't expect the day when your world collapses on you; you don't expect that bad choices you've made in the past will catch up with you. But Amira didn't give up. Life never stops on that, she told herself.
Reading was (and still is) her safe place to relax, to learn, and to get reminded that no matter what happens around her, she is not alone. Amira is sure that no one is—no matter how much we believe in loneliness. There is always someone in the world who experiences the same things you do.

She's made so many mistakes in her life that she's certain that learning from mistakes you've made or seen someone else do is just as vital as anything else. She's not sure why she started writing. In fact, she isn't sure of a lot of things. But she is certain of one thing, though: her book characters will never be perfect. She was never perfect (she is still far from being perfect). For most of her life, the only way she knew how to grow up into some decent human being was only by making more mistakes. Because unless you get a sense of why something is wrong, you will never understand how life works. And unless you're able to step into someone else's shoes, you won't comprehend what other people go through every day. Books can help you do this, help you to experience the pain of wrong decisions and their outcomes...
