Chosen by a God

Eighteen-year-old Valia is desperate. Her father abandoned her and her mother years ago, leaving behind a mountain of debt that can never be paid. So when she’s issued an invitation to join thirty others in the mysterious land of Algazeya, training to become one of the gods’ three Chosen Ones, she jumps at the chance.

But the other Chosen One candidates aren’t thrilled at the unexpected newcomer in their midst. Valia will have to dodge their backstabbing, impress the instructors, and even navigate a steamy love triangle with a fellow candidate, the prince of a faraway kingdom, and one of her instructors, a broody young man who thinks she is a fraud. And even if she does gain the coveted title of Chosen One, she starts to realize that the role carries a dark responsibility she doesn’t fully understand.
